Canada: glorious to be.

Your mountains, prairies and forests

grace us

from sea to sea to sea.

You gave us animals to know as friends.

They live in your waters

and throughout your lands,

over foothills and underground:

they can see the future,

they know where we are bound.

Canada: glorious to be.

You hold the life, the breath, the kiss

and you give us this

for free.

Your ancient face will smile again,

as we (like students) begin to understand.

The work will be hard

for we have only just begun

and our thanks will be perceived

when tomorrow's children dance beneath the sun.
